The Barbour Wax Dog Coat is ideal for keeping you four legged friend warm and dry as the colder days arrive this season. This beautifully crafted dog coat has been made from 100% waxed cotton, finished with a Classic Tartan lining for an added touch of Barbour styling, as well as lightweight wadding for added warm. The cord collar detailing gives you an added touch of classic Barbour styling, finished with Velcro fastening under body strap for added convenience.

i have a shitzhu what size coat would i need?

They do come up small. For example I have bought the medium for my jack Russell. My other dog is a greyhound/Labrador cross, (more greyhound shape), and I had to buy him a large. I've then moved the velcro at the neck and waist to fit him. It's best to follow the measurement guide exactly on the website and order accordingly, regardless of the breed of the dog it's recommended for. You may have to make alterations like I have, but they are such good quality and so classy, it's well worth it. Sorry to not be more specific, but I hope I've helped!

Is this dog coat waterproof?

It is, there is a tiny bit of leakage where the coat has an aperture for the lead connection. But it was merely damp. I will probably re wax it this autumn when I do my own Barbour 25 years old and good as new.

Hi can't comment on sizes available, but I bought medium for my cocker and it fits well even though he is over weight the belly belt adjust to fit good.

Hi there - looking for a waterproof dog coat, like the look of the barbour wax coat but want to check it has an opening to attach to a harness (as against a neck collar) - can you confirm or if not recommend a suitable alternative? Many thanks

Thanks for your question, we can confirm that the Barbour Wax Dog Coat is not classed as 100% waterproof - it is defined as weatherproof only. We can also confirm that all Barbour dog coats offer a keyhole opening for a lead to collar attachment, unfortunately they would not be compatible with a harness.
