Description

The Men's Schoffel Oakham Fleece Gilet is a must-have country gilet perfect for layering or worn by itself on warmer days. This versatile piece is crafted from Pontetorto Fleece TechnoKnit® to keep you warm, along with an Alcantara trim, which is soft, stain resistant and durable. Features include a double zip fastening to the front, two-zip security pockets to keep your valuables safe when out and about and an adjustable drawcord at the hem, for your comfort.

Please note gilets feature either a silver zip or a coloured zip that matches the fleece.

We would usually expect for small fibres to come to the surface of the fabric forming bobbles, otherwise known as piling. As with any natural fibre fabric, this is completely normal, particularly in areas that are subject to more friction for example sleeves and across the chest where a seatbelt has been worn. We would also expect for the majority of piling/bobbling to incur in the early life of the garment, this should then improve/reduce the more you wash, wear and enjoy your fleece.
When piling/bobbling does occur, this is easily remedied with the use of a cashmere comb, and should be considered part of the frequent care of the garment.

No it isn’t. It’s a zip that can be used internal or external because it can be zipped into the lining of the schoffel coat.

Yes a size 38 in my opinion would be a medium. I have found the fit to be one size bigger than the label suggests, probably to layers can be worn underneath. I am a size 40 chest but would wear a size 38 in this gilet.

I’m 6ft3, slim but fairly well built and I wear a 38. The fleeces wear a little larger than normal so if you like a bit more room I would order a 40 or 42. Hope this helps!

I would normally take a Large size what size would recommend for the the gilet mentioned.

I thought I would require a size 44 but after trying the Scoffel fleece at the Newcastle shop I realised it would have to be a size 46 for comfort. I have read comments suggesting one should try a smaller size but not for me ! The item is a sheer delight to wear. Try one on !!!

The sizes are a bit weird. I have a 44 inch chest (men’s) and a UK size 40 / Large is a perfect fit for me. If you normally get XL I would say 42 for a close fit or a 44 for a loose fit. 48 would be more like XXL+ in my opinion.
